    1. Hi Wendy, there are several great options in the area. Some of the most recommended are:

      1. Heritage United Methodist Church Preschool
      2. Thomas Road Baptist Church Early Learning Center
      3. The Bashful Giraffe Early Learning Center

      I hope this helps!

What activities should we do? What’s the best way to meet other families? Are there play groups we could join? I hope we can make some great new friends!

  6. Hi! My family and I are new to the Lynchburg area and we are expecting our first child. I am interested to hear about any day care recommendations. I’ve researched a few online, but it would be great to get insight from some other Mommies out there.

    Thank you,

  7. Hello Lynchburg!

I’m 27 years old and I moved to Lynchburg with my husband, Michael, and our 28 month old son Elijah from Charlottesville, VA. I don’t know anyone hear in Lynchburg and we moved because my husband is a full-time nursing student at Liberty. This is also my first time being a stay-at-home after working full-time as a Child Care Program Director.

I’m looking to connect with other moms close to my age and/or close to my son’s age. Any suggestions would be awesome, thank you!!!

    1. Hi Jessica! Welcome to Lynchburg! We definitely recommend connecting with the Motherhood Collective. They have playdate groups and offer informational sessions for moms as well.
