Easter Egg Hunts in Lynchburg, VA

Easter is on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Several organizations in the Lynchburg community are offering free Easter egg hunts. Just remember to bring your own baskets for hunting eggs – and a camera to capture those little smiles! Here are the details for FREE Easter egg hunts around Lynchburg:

1.) Easter Egg Hunt at Forest Public Library

When: Saturday, April 8, 2017, 1-2:30 pm

Where: Forest Public Library, 15583 Forest Road, Forest, VA

Details: Mountain View United Methodist Church is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at Forest Library on April 8th. Games and prizes will be from 1-2 and the Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 2pm.

Toddlers through 5th graders are invited to join in on the fun! We will have a separate area for the toddlers to hunt in a calmer setting.


2.) Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Photos with the Easter Bunny at Timberlake UMC

When: Saturday, April 8, 2017, 10 am – 12 pm

Where: Timberlake United Methodist Church, 21649 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA

Details: Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Games, fun, food, crafts and of course, our EGG HUNT! FREE EVENT. Ages birth – 5th grade. Hunt will be divided by age groups. Rain or shine!


3.) Easter Egg Hunt at Timberlake Baptist Church

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017, 10 am – 12 pm

Where: Timberlake Baptist Church, 21395 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA

Details: Inflatables, snacks, and fun for the whole family! There will be 5,555 eggs. The hunt starts at 10:30 am.


4.) Easter Egg Roll on the Lawn at Point of Honor

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017, 10 am – 2 pm

Where: Point of Honor, 112 Cabell Street, Lynchburg, VA

Details: Join Lynchburg Parks and Recreation and the Lynchburg Museum System Staff for a fun-filled day at the Point of Honor during the fourth annual Easter Egg Roll on the Lawn!

Visit and grab a photo with the Easter Bunny, sit for story-time with our local celebrities, join in on the egg roll, purchase items from attending vendors, hang out at the petting zoo, or pick up lunch from one of the local food trucks on-site. Did we also mention we’re hiding over 6,000 eggs for our hunt? No matter your age, we promise fun for the entire family!

5.) Easter Egg Hunt & Carnival at Passion Community

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017, 10 am – 12 pm

Where: Passion Community, 512 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA

Details: Easter weekend continues on Saturday, April 15 from 10-12pm with the Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival. This is open to the community to bring their families to enjoy carnival games and prizes, crafts, bounce houses, and laser tag! Nomad Coffee Co. will also be there if you would like to purchase coffee! Kids should bring their own baskets for the Easter Egg Hunt. The egg hunt will begin at 11:50am.


6.) The Great Hunt hosted by River Church

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017, 1-3 pm

Where: Madison Heights Dixie Youth Complex, 257 Trojan Rd, Madison Heights, VA

Details: 100,000 Eggs, Inflatables, Games, food trucks, and local Businesses; those are just some of the things to expect from the Great Hunt this year.

Saturday, April 15. Come any where between 1pm and 3 pm but staggered egg hunts begin at 2: 30pm. Be early so you don’t miss out on any of the fun.

We will also be hosting an adaptive egg hunt before the rest that is accessible to children that might need specific considerations to be able to hunt the eggs. This hunt will start at 11:45.


7.) Community Easter Egg Hunt at WoodmenLife

When: Saturday, April 15, 2017, 1-4 pm

Where: WoodmenLife, 1800 Wards Ferry Rd, Lynchburg, VA

Details: 5,000 eggs, activities, prizes, face painting, refreshments, petting zoo, and it’s all free of charge. Bring canned goods to donate to the local food bank to fight hunger!
