Best Places to Trick-or-Treat in Lynchburg, VA

Is there anything cuter than seeing your little ones dressed up in Halloween costumes? There are plenty of places in Lynchburg to enjoy trick-or-treating. Walking around neighborhoods can sometimes be challenging with traffic, parking, etc. Also, many families in rural areas around Lynchburg don’t live in walkable neighborhoods. Luckily, several local organizations are hosting fun and safe trick-or-treating opportunities this Halloween. So dress up and head to these locations around Lynchburg (and snap plenty of pics of your little trick-or-treaters)!





Leesville Road Baptist Church Trunk or Treat

When: Saturday, October 29th, 2016, 5:00-8:00 PM

Where: 18059 Leesville Road, Evington, VA

Details: Come and join us for an evening of fun at our annual Trunk or Treat! This year we will offer games, caramel apples, coffee, hot dogs, pop corn, hot chocolate, prizes for best costume and of course plenty of candy!! Rain or shine. Bring the entire family and spend some time at LRBC where ministry is about doing life together. We hope to see you there!






Trunk or Treat at Madison Heights Baptist Church

When: Sunday, October 30, 2016, 5:00-7:00 PM

Where: 329 Main Street, Madison Heights, VA

Details: Join us on October 30th for a favorite MHBC tradition: Trunk or Treat! There will be costumes, characters, characters in costumes, treats, food and more fun than you can stand. Mark your calendar for a Ghooolish Night of fun!






Trunk or Treat at Mountain View United Methodist Church

When: Sunday, October 30, 2016, 5:00-7:00 PM

Where: 1077 Viewpoint Lane, Forest, VA

Details: Come out for Family Fun, Food, Games, Music. Face Painting, Tattoos, Bounce House and most importantly CANDY! Come at 5 for the Hot Dog Dinner, stay for the fun and games. Trunk or Treating starts at 6PM.







Trick or Treat at Lynchburg’s Finest Real Estate

When: Monday, October 31, 2016, 4:30-7:30 PM

Where: 113 Goldenrod Place, Lynchburg, VA

Details: Trick or treat in Wyndhurst at the office of Lynchburg’s Finest Real Estate Team! There will be food, fun, and giveaways!






Trunk or Treat on the Terrace

When: Monday, October 31, 2016, 5:30-7:30 PM

Where: 818 Court Street, Lynchburg, VA

Details: Dress up in your Halloween best and come out to Trunk or Treat on the Terrace! Volunteers from the First Unitarian Church and local groups will have their cars parked in the parking lot, decorated and ready to hand out treats! We will also have booths available with activities and games. Come one, come all! Halloween costume or not, we’ll all have a great time! No ticket required.





Trunk N Treat at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church

When: Monday, October 31, 2016, 6:00-8:00 PM

Where: 10660 Richmond Highway, Lynchburg. VA

Details: Come join us for a great night of car trunks filled with candy, fun carnival games, bounce houses, food and awesome atmosphere. This free event runs from 6-8pm and is open to the community. Please no scary decorations or costumes. If you would like to participate in handing out candy from your car or truck trunk please register at It is recommended that you decorate your car or truck in a fall theme but it is not required. Please arrive by 5:30 and plan to stay for the duration of the event.






Trick-or-Treat at River Ridge Mall

When: Monday, October 31, 2016, 5:00-7:00 PM

Where: 3405 Candlers Mountain Road, Lynchburg, VA

Details: Many of the retailers in River Ridge Mall will have candy available for children in costume.





Kids Karnival at Thomas Road Baptist Church

When: Monday, October 31, 2016, 6:30-8:30 PM

Where: 1 Mountain View Road, Lynchburg, VA

Details: You and your children (up to 5th grade) are invited to our 2016 Kids Karnival on October 31st at 6:30 pm! Our Kids Karnival is a great time of games, inflatables, candy and most importantly…FUN!
