Market at Main: Food, Shopping, History

Walk into Market at Main and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in history to a simpler time. The wooden floors, restored in 2010 when the restaurant opened, still reflect a former era. The shelves stocked with market items welcome shoppers, while the sizzling grill heats up made-to-order plates for diners.¬†Standing under a tin ceiling and vintage fans, a friendly face greets you and escorts you to your table. The menu features fresh sandwiches, salads, a signature dishes like “The Lynch-burger” and “John Lynch’s Catch” (be sure to try it with the sweet potato fries). The silver dollar pancakes on the children’s menu are perfect for little appetites, and a nearby play area – complete with chalkboard and art supplies – will entertain busy kids.
